Jonathan is one of three democratic candidates running for Pima County Attorney. Jonathan will be joining us at 6:30 PM and will first speak followed by a Q&A. We are very excited to have Jonathan as our special guest.
Below is the bio that Jonathan submitted to us:
Jonathan has been a lawyer for 25 years and a prosecutor for 15 years. As Chief Criminal Deputy of the Pima County Attorney’s Office, Jonathan Mosher has been responsible for the day-to-day supervision and management of the Criminal Division, which consists of almost 70 attorneys. Previously, as Chief Trial Counsel, he oversaw the office’s homicide prosecutions and officer-involved shooting reviews, while also prosecuting homicides, cold cases, violent felonies, sexual assaults, and crimes against children. Before that, he was the Felony Training Supervisor, responsible for training of all felony prosecutor. Jonathan has lectured at training seminars for prosecutors throughout Arizona and nationally. He has received statewide awards for his victim advocacy (2009) and as Felony Prosecutor of the Year (2011). He also received the Board of Directors’ Advocacy Award (2017) from a national prosecutor’s association for his prosecution of State v. Watson, a case that was featured on Dateline NBC’s “Secrets of the Desert” episode. After graduating from Colgate University in 1991 and the University of Iowa College of Law with High Honors in 1994, Jonathan served as a law clerk with the Arizona Supreme Court. He then spent nearly a decade in private practice before becoming a prosecutor with the Pima County Attorney’s Office in 2005. Jonathan is a member of the Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. In his remaining free time, he spends time with his wife, Heather and their two beloved rescue dogs, Rezzie and Lulu.
